Sweet Pea

Our little guy is about 3 months old now and while learning to balance taking care of two children, a household, and a business has had its challenges, it is worth every second, especially when you get to gaze at those sweet full lips, long eyelashes, and button nose.
I got him to fall asleep in one of my new favorite things, a sweet pea pod handmade by one of my awesome brides. It was given to me as a gift from my partner in crime, Jessica, who documents weddings with me. They are available at www.sweetpeapods.com. I hope to add some of her other adorable hats and such to my collection soon.

Dan and Julie are busy planning their wedding this summer, along with studying for the bar, and moving back to New England! They met and fell in love in school and cant wait to start their life together as a married couple!

Spring has Sprung

Since I was out in my yard so much this weekend chasing little children around, I thought I would theme my post around garden portraits. Our property is always a work in progress, we have lots of plans for it, but there are already many vignettes in which to create stunning outdoor portraits.

We leave a section of our yard to grow long and wild with a path for children to explore.

A large patch of mowed lawn creates a nice background as well.

A homemade playhouse has a cute little porch to sit on and windows to peek out of.

My old wooden gates are one of my favorite places to visit in my yard.

It creates great texture in the background.

A birdbath in a rose garden is a fun place to throw things into.

My perennial gardens are a great place to explore, find some color, and maybe a bug or two.
