Meet the Clark's.
The Clark's are very good friends of ours. My husband and I have known them and their family for years through a Christian youth camp that is where we ALL met. For the past several years James and Becky have spent their summer at this camp co-directing and Joe and I always volunteer to work at the camp during one of the weeks. I love watching the bond grow between my daughter and their youngest daughter, year after year, knowing that my camp friends have been some of the closest relationships of my life. It is where I met my husband. ;)
I was thrilled that they asked me create some family portraits for them, as they made their way to Maine for the summer. They chose another location in New England that is very dear to their hearts... a cabin owned by Jame's parents in the woods of New Hampshire. The backyard of this cabin is an icy cold brook that runs through the trees and over and around large boulders. The family has spent many evenings playing in this brook along with the rest of their family.
As you can see, we had A LOT of fun!
And then we had a cookout out on the big rock. Ever cooked hamburgers on a boulder? Me either!
Oh, and if you want to check out a great Christian camp in Maine:
